Shopping For Jewelry Online – The Facts & Tips

Before I shop from any website online, I first make a checklist of things that makes me feel secure in purchasing products from them.  I’m here to share my list with you in hopes that you won’t make any of the bad or wrong decisions that I’ve made.  I’ve gone through many horrid things online including horrible customer service, loss of product and loss of money.  I don’t want these things to happen to you guys, so here’s just a mini check list of facts and tips that will make your online shopping experience that much better. 🙂

braceletFirst, I always do research on the shop I’m planning on buying from.  There are many sites that hold reviews and star counts for boutique online shops.  Go do some research and make sure that the shop you want to purchase from is a dependable and reliable source.  I often find that when shops have contact info such as a phone number, they are more secure.  One example is when I purchased a engraved medical alert bracelet.  They have a caller number as well as great customer service.  It’s super easy to get a hold of them if I ever need anything or have any questions.

The second thing is quality.  I’m always looking for the best quality in products for the best price.  Now, this is tough to judge.  One way I do this is by looking at the materials that the jewelry is made from.  Almost, if not all, quality jewelry shops will list the materials their products are made from.  If they don’t, that’s a warning sign – why don’t they want you to know what it’s made from?  It means it could be low quality.

The third thing I look at is how you pay.  I oftentimes have found myself at the checkout page and wondering if the site is actually legit.  If you feel like it might be sketchy, skip it and buy somewhere else online.  One of the best experiences I’ve had shopping online is when I bought a wallet card for emergency medical identification for my husband.  The site was extremely easy to use and when I went to pay, I had no issues or any weird feelings.  When in doubt, go with your gut.  If the site isn’t performing up to standards, then leave it right away.  You never know who is trying to scam you and there are millions of scams online.  Don’t get yourself involved in one!

I hope these tips help with your next online shopping experience.  By doing extensive research and focusing on quality, you should have no problems!  Of course, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
